Charles Curtis Massey Jr.

Officer Charles Curtis Massry, Jr. joined the Kansas City Police Department on April 1st, 1974 before serving for 19 months.
On November 24th, 1975, Officer Massey lost control of his patrol car at 86th and Troost. He was responding to a prowler call when his car skidded across four lanes of traffic and was struck by a station wagon. The patrol car was hit on the side and flipped, trapping Officer Massey inside. It took over thirty minutes to extract Officer Massey from the car. He died from his injuries at the scene.
He was survived by his wife and son.
