Larry D. Oliver

Agency: Kansas City Police Department, MO

On April 18, 1968, Officer Oliver was chasing a speeding suspect on 12th Street in the West Bottoms and while trying to avoid a car, lost control of his motorcycle. Officer Oliver became pinned between a guard rail and a brick building at the corner of 12th and Genessee. Officer Oliver was transported to Menorah Hospital where he died of his injuries.

Patrolman Oliver had been with the agency for nine years and was survived by his son.
