Marion Richard Bowman

On April 12, 1968, Officer Bowman, 44, was attempting to subdue a mentally unstable person involved in a disturbance on Main Street between Amour and 36th Street during the 1968 riots and suffered a fatal heart attack. Officer Bowman was taken to General Hospital.
Officer Bowman had been with the Kansas City Police Department for 15 years, was assigned to the Traffic Unit at the time of his death and was survived by his wife, Beverly and his child.
